aha!!! newbie 500 guy!!!
« on: April 21, 2009, 02:01:17 PM »
 ok ive been trying forever to get in here ...now im here ..and very glad to be!!! im Zac, im from Dayton Ohio i have had a few kx 250s in my days and have just recently bought a very clean 95 kx 500 that went through 3 owners in 4 weeks!! i bugged the heck out of the 3 owners on craigslist .. they were all scared of it after they bought it,  didnt want to trade me for my 250 ..( they realized the 500 wasnt a casual ride bike to ride with there kids and or girl friend?) so i finnaly got her after trading away my old 250 plus a small amount of cash to the 3rd owner in that one months time ..but here she is,  i just recently put a new seat cover and some graphics on it to get rid of the plain jane green plastic and purple seat ..wich was mint i hate to say ...im kind of a purist i guess...so it made me sad to get rid of the mint /stock seat cover ...lol but ya the guy before me took the original 95 graphics off of it because he said it was just starting to peel in the corner!!!....man!!!!! i could strangle him!!! cant wait to talk with you all im pumped!!! i finally got me one!!! after all these years!!!

nice bike.  i am almost down with my 1994 rebuild and looking forward to riding it.  i will look at dennis kirk for grapics since fx wasnt making anymore.  i had some nice yellow ones for my tank (still on bike) but the matching shroulds are gone so i had to find an older stock shrould which doesnt match

Sweet looking ride, it's good to see another buckeye on here.  I do like your graphics and need to find something for my plain jane green 5hundie.  I just recently bought a seat off of ebay and I'm going to throw a black seat cover on it also.  My stock seat is mint and I don't want to ruin it, so it'll come off and get stashed in the attic of the garage.  I paid $46 for the other one including shipping, so I don't think I did too bad.  What cover did you put on your seat?  There seems to be a bunch out there and yours looks great.  So let me know. Oh by the way, welcome and enjoy this site because they have soooo much to offer.  Later, Dan (kxdel)

wow thanks for the replies guys!! :-D its a work in progress i guess ..the seat cover i got .. believe it or not was a sheet of plain old seat cover material from a upulstry place i paid next to nothing for ..kinda stretchy so it went on great ..i want to put a gripper on it soon i just did this to get me by for a little while , the purple stock seat looked awful with the mostly black graphics lol but ya for a few bucs it turned out great , basicly looks like a stock black seat cover, works for now
