Kx500 motor in a streetbike chassis?

<< < (4/5) > >>

kaw rider:
were they stock and 600cc. I raced acouple of 600 in quads on oval ice and with my 450 and half track they would start to pull away.

Maybe stewart or K5abuser can say in 1/4 mile race what would win. 600cc street bike or K5 with street rubber.

k5abuser:
thats just what me and stewart was talking about thursday . looking forward to the drag strip . just takes some time for me to get away . working as much as i can while i can . lol

cbxracer30:
My one hired gun, Ben took my K5 to Beaver Springs Raceway and could run right with my buddys 900rr 10.5's-10.4s I think his best pass was at Mason Dixon a 10.1 at 121mph thats gettin it done, No bars carrying the front wheel for 4 gears. Its gone 93mph in 500ft. CBX

RoostDaddy:
In a 1/4 mile, my moneys on the K5 as I've already seen some beat 600 sportbikes.  With a good holeshot they have a tough time trying to run ya down!

RoostDaddy:
Paul,
I have a buddy that I used to race with that built a Banshee motor and mounted it into a RD 350/400 frame. (easy SWAP)
He ran a ZX9 fiberglass shell and that thing was not only trick looking but also very fast.  With these motors your combinations are endless.
