Spliting the case

Hi im wondering if i can split the engine case without removing the flywheel ?

I just need to get to the gears, 3 gear its broken, so i hope i dont need to take the fly wheel of but maby i do

Can some one help me out ?

Do i need any speciall tools for a jobb like this ?

Yes you do need to remove the flywheel and you will need a flywheel removal tool, and a steering wheel puller with some long 6mm bolts makes it easier to split the case. The ignition side is the side that has to come off.
