      where in the world are you? my 86 ate a cdi and then a secondhand cdi, and when Kawasaki said ?200 (us$350ish) i found a company which do replacements of good quality from a uk company called West Country Windings for ?89. cant find phone number at minute but a websearch should find 'em.price for 86 might vary slightly as I run a 90 - 93 ignition setup. HTH.
