I found my 86 k500 had a small tear in the airbox boot letting nasty stuff in.

I was concidering just doing away with the airbox.. put a late style angled carb-boot and a clampon filter.. I am concerned how this is going to affect my low end performance. I primarily ride in desert and some dunes... Im afraid it may make the power unmanagable..

Id like to hear if any one has done this type of mod.. thanks
