just trying to figure out what is compression and what is rebound on the forks and the rear shock?
on the forks is the compression on top and rebound on bottom?

and whats the rear?
thanks

on the rear there is a screw on the side of the shock its inlayed into a larger nut, turn this to adjust damping, cant remember which way is which though sorry!

The compression damping adjuster is mounted in
the center of the compression bolt installed in the
bottom of the fork tube .

The compression damping adjustment affects how quickly the
front fork compresses. Turning the compression adjuster
clockwise increases (stiffens) the compression
damping; turning the compression adjuster counterclockwise
decreases (softens) the compression
damping.

To adjust the compression damping adjuster to its
standard position (9 clicks), perform the following:
1. Remove the plug from the bottom of each fork
tube.
2. Turn the compression damping adjuster clockwise
until it stops .
3. Turn the compression damping adjuster counterclockwise
9 clicks for the standard setting.
4. Set both fork tubes to the same damping position.
   NOTE
Make sure the compression adjuster
screw is located in one of the detent
positions and not in between any two
settings.

5. Install the plug into the bottom of each fork tube.

Rebound Damping Adjustment
The rebound damping adjusters are mounted in
the center of each fork cap .
(the small screw to the outside  on the fork cap is the air bleed)
The rebound damping adjustment affects how quickly
the front fork extends after compression.

Turning the rebound adjuster clockwise increases (stiffens) the
rebound damping; turning the rebound adjuster
counterclockwise decreases (softens) the rebound
damping.

To adjust the rebound damping adjuster to its
standard position, perform the following:
1. Turn the rebound damping adjuster clockwise
until it stops .
2. Turn the rebound damping adjuster counterclockwise
11 clicks.
3. Set both fork tubes to the same damping setting

    NOTE
Make sure the rebound adjuster screw is
located in one of the detent positions
and not in between any two settings.

                     Rear Shock
Rebound Damping Adjustment
Rebound damping affects the rate of speed at
which the shock absorber is able to return to the fully
extended position after compression. This adjustment
will not affect the action of the shock absorber
on compression. If the rebound is too slow, the rear
wheel may bottom on subsequent bumps.

Rebound damping can be adjusted by the
adjuster screw  located at the bottom of the shock absorber
A clicker adjuster is used; each click of
the adjuster screw represents one adjustment
change.
For the standard setting (11 clicks),
turn the adjuster screw clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise

4. When the standard setting is set, the two index
marks on the adjuster will align.
To increase the rebound damping, turn the adjuster
screw toward the "H" mark on the adjuster.
To decrease the rebound damping, turn the adjuster
screw toward the "S" mark on the adjuster.
Make sure the adjuster wheel is located in one of
the detent positions and not in between any two
settings.

Compression Damping Adjustment
Compression damping affects the rate of speed
that the shock compresses when the rear wheel hits
a bump. This adjustment will not affect the action of
the shock absorber on rebound.

Compression damping can be adjusted to the
18 settings.
The adjuster screw is located at the top of the shock
absorber reservoir . A clicker adjuster is used; each click of the adjuster screw represents one adjustment change.

For the standard setting, (12 clicks) turn the adjuster screw
clockwise until it stops, then turn it counterclockwise
12 clicks (standard)
4. When the standard setting is set, the two index
marks will align.
For the maximum setting, turn the adjuster screw
clockwise until it stops.
To increase the rebound damping, turn the adjuster
screw clockwise.
To decrease the rebound damping, turn the adjuster
screw counterclockwise.

Make sure the adjuster wheel is located in one of
the detent positions and not in between any two
settings.

 All this and More!
Cam 22 found on a link for free online service manuals,
(This is where I found all that )
 It's not just for bikes.
Use the word
 "Library"
 for ID and Password;
click Small Engine Repair, click Motorcycles,or whatever.
The motorcycles are Clymer manuals but still contain good information.
There are hundreds of manuals here for your perusal.
