I'm one, but I'm 42. I was taught to do it with everything (almost).

I use white grease. It dries out slightly around the outer lip area but stays very moist from that point on inward. After I get the box area completey clean I use a vaccum inside the box and intake opening just to make sure nothing is in there that could cause a problem with performance.

I had an air filter on my 250 try to glue itself to the air box with the no toil, only using oil. When I changed it every couple rides, it worked well and was clean, but after sitting awhile, it wanted to stay. I use the proseals, and it was seriously stuck to it. My new notoil kit came with No Toil grease, so I know what to do with it. I previously thought the pro seal eliminated the need for grease, ....nope.

NO GREASE!!!
I've had issues with rim grease melting in the hot Florida summer and fouling my plugs, I must mention this happened with the old formula No-Toil rim grease, I quit using the grease and have never fouled a plug since. I use No-Toil filter oil/cleaner, and filters on my bike. I also use Twin Air and Moose filters on my wife and kids bikes w/ the No-Toil oil/cleaner, if they are done every week the filters last forever. But don't oil up a filter and bag it as a back up, it will disintegrate if you don't use it right away. Just put a clean filter in a bag, keep the No-Toil oil with it, if you are going to need it that particular day, oil it up before the event, let it air out to evaporate the alcohol, and bag it up so it's ready when you pit.
