KX Problem?

(1/4) > >>

alan:
I have been out for 3 days riding all over the El Paso area. When I came in to park for the last time yesterday my rear end had dropped about three inches. :x    After 300 miles in three days I have had the energy to take a close look at my KX yet. Does anyone have an idea what would make the rear suspension drop? :?

Thanks!

Alan :D

Any leaks? Can you turn the spring by hand with the bike on a stand?

I didn't notice any leaks, and to tell you the truth I was so tired I didn't check the spring. I was somewhat baffled by the drop in suspension. I will check when I get home from the store today.

Thanks Alan

I am to old to be that fast!  I think you are right, I checked it this morning and I can grab the rear fender and lift it up serveral inches. I thought it was the spring preload that held it up!    Oh well stupid me!   Looks like I well need to have it rebuilt. So is there anything I should do to it while there rebuilding it?
