weak spark
peppe70rs:
boys, I noticed that the spark that produces my candle is fairly weak ....... the bike still quietly turns and goes quite well and adjust.
What does a spark weak? It can give problems maximum speed? (I have a motard)
How can we measure?
Thank you
KX500freak:
eey pepe,
what color does your spark have ,it should be blue/white and you must hear the spark too,if you kick it over.
sounds like: tiktik but then faster
also ,how good does it start with the weak spark?
it should fire up less easy then with a fresh good spark.
got fresh plug installed also?
and the cap and wire still intact and good?
if so it,s probably in the ignitioncoil,it could be worn and need ro be re-winded.
peppe70rs:
hello freak :-D ..... as usual even if I use the translator can not always understand what I write.
However, the motion part quite well and is very regular.
I believe that the wires are ok but good control after ...... it take to make a video of the problem, maybe it's better.
One question: where is the coil? It 'easy to disassemble?
One photo in order to even understand well? :-D
peppe70rs:
I can disassemble the coil?
PS the candle is a B8HS
KX500freak:
peppe ,the coil is on the left side if you sit on the bike.
its behind that round cap bolted on 4 sides
the coil is behind the flywheel .
i had mine measured by my mx dealer back in 06 it was still good.
but what is the brand of the candle :? ngk?
i have denso and splitfire running in mine .
but yeah pic is always welcome
