When did the cilinder changed??

When did the cilinder changed, on newer type's KIPS is cast direct on the cilinder. This one should have a plate on it, I guess??!!

cylinders changed in 1989, yours looks to be a 1987  they used the nut for the countershaft sprocket 88 used a circlip
