reed valves/ opinions?
maddoggy:
i did a little research with the search option but couldn't find anything real convincing towards any specific brand or type. do you guys have any tech info to support the v-force, boysen rad valve, or the stock setup as being the best choice for noticable power. or do these different types just move the power around up or down the powerband. stewart, i'm sure you've dyno'ed them all, right?

I don't have any direct experience with these two but my understanding is the the Rad valve is for top end power (drag/sand/ice), and the V-force is for everything else (MX/offroad). I am a big fan of the boysen dual-stage reeds. They are a low cost alternative and have served me well. I have used them on a variety of dirt/street bikes, always with noticable results. It was the first mod I did to my K5. Cam.
Hillclimb#42:
I run the boysen rad valve. Its a good reed block, but I think that I read on here that the V-Force Dyno'd better. I doubt that there is V-force II's for the k5. Anyone know for sure ? I know they have no II's for the cr-5. V-force is the popular choice.
stewart:
v force 2.....is the best i have tried
don46:
V force works great, but don't try them nitrous application, they will not hold up.
