i need to know if a 87 bottom end will work with a 96 cylinder jug

hey i have a 96 kx 500 i detroyed the bottom end but i have a brand new piston jug and head for a 96 will the 87 bottom end bolt up i know the piston is the same bore and the reed cage is the same is there anything anyone can tell me. thanks everyone!

your kips will need to be modified for it to work.
