replating cilinder???

Dutch-K5 Fan:
I can get a decompression release from my colleague. He used to ride a ktm580 guad, and had one lie around.


My question is:  When I make the hole for it, do I have to replate my cilinder???

yes  the plating tends to wrap around the corners of the ports etc.. it will push out when drilled thru
