With the 89 KX5 should I run a BR9EG or BR8EG? What is the difference?

Stock bike uses a BR8 heat range.  I would suggest the BR8EIX over the G or V.  Those are old tech and the EIX is the irridium electrode that has proven to outlast anything with the best flame from.  Most new vehicles come with these for a reason.  cam.

8 is hotter than a 9.  G is one upgrade over an S.  V should be the minimum.  Got the bucks run the irridiums like Cam sayzzz....

Is there a difference with plugs even with the same numbers? I found a box of ten B8ES @ Pep Boys for $10 and change, but the plugs seemed to foul easy. I noticed the electrode and the whole bottom of plug was an aluminum-colored silver and my old ones from the bike shop were a copper-color.

I wouldnt waste the money on the EIX... IMO they are no better than a standard ES.... I run B9egv's in all of my bikes
