I had my 98 frame, sub and swingarm coated. I did the sand blasting myself and brought them either the stand or my original bars to match the frame color. They matched it perfectly. The swingarm was powder coated silver just like stock.
When you get the parts back, run a tap through all the various threads on the frame, and sand out all of the bearing bores for a nice clean surface. A good coater will plug these areas, but some paint may still get in there.
Within the first week of finishing the bike, I cased a natural double. Just below the surface dirt was a huge boulder that put a dent in the underside of my frame....the coating stayed in-tact.
