Newbie from AZ
« on: January 28, 2008, 02:50:31 PM »
I am a newbie to this site.  So far I have found  a lot of information on jetting my 2001 Kx500.  I currently have a surging issue and trying fix it.  I believe that I will be able to fix it with all the information i have Gathered.  I have owned my bike for about 1 1/2 years.  This is my frst bike that i have owned.  At first it was to much power but i am starting to get comfortable with it.  I have a IMS desert tank,  fmf pipe and exhast. I amlooking for some hand gaurds and dont know what brad to buy.  If you could help me out that would be great.

Welcome to the site.  I use Acerbis Rally Pro handguards.  They wrap from the inside of the bars to the end. A metal bar runs through the molded plastic making them almost bulletproof.  However, if you should crash and get your arm/wrist caught in them, they tend to mess up the general contour of your wrist.  I like them better than the open ended handguards as they are less likely to bust a lever when you fall.  Again, welcome.

You're just up the road from Motogrande, best track to ride in Arizona.

Check the reviews section for some info on Acerbis hand guards.  Might help the decision. Cam.
