I am still here.. Great site also.. I met some other KX Riders on the site, and I am going riding with them here in Idaho tomorrow. I am super excited to go ride with other KX fans, thanks to this site. I am a huge Kawi Fan, so keep up the good work.

I'm still here, afer five years. Back in 2008 I finally found a two-stroke 500 for sale and bought it. It's not a KX though; It's a Yamaha WR500. I ended up having the engine ported by Eric Gorr, and then I had EFM Autoclutch custom machine an autoclutch for this bike. "First YZ490-series with autoclutch". Then I installed a KX500 lighting coil, a Vaportech instrument clutser, rewired it, and brewed up my own lighting circuit. Lastly, I plated it for the street here in Michigan. Though it's an air hammer, it rips! 4th gear wheelies at 48 MPH, and it does 84 MPH flat-out through the sand up north. The suspension is set up by Tech Care on the plush side, and I've chocked up on the front forks as far as they'll go in the triple clamp to speed up the turn-in for the Michigan trails. When in the woods, I rarely ever get it out of second gear; and I've had to gear it up +1/-2 on the gearing in order to tame it's leap. The autoclutch helps TREMENDOUSLY as you can't stall the engine if you stab too much rear brake. Stalling & restarting on the trail is a bitch when there's that much piston to push.
