I was wondering if anyone has the specs fro redilding the forkson a 2001 kx500? I have a factory manual but it is for a different year.  thanks

torque specs, fluid levels/capasities, service limits and measurments.  hmmm its been over a year since the last fork job, is there anything else i should know??? Thanks!!

 Torque for the clamp bolts is 14.5-ft-lb
 Oil height is 3.15-4.33 inch from top
 This info from 2001 owners manual.

BDI:
 Just something I learned the hard way many years ago. It helps to loosen the fork caps while the fork tube are still in the triple clamps. I'm sure a lot of people know that, now for the lesson learned the hard way. If you do not loosen the top triple clamp pinch bolts first you can't unscrew the fork cap and you may destroy the fork cap trying to loosen It. I twisted off the aluminum nut portion of the fork cap on my 1990, that was a bad day.  :oops:
