Got the call today. The motor's done. 2nd gear was "welded" to the shaft.

Also,"Just use the 10W/30 or whatever's in the manual".

Hmmm.... I REFUSE to believe that a lite oil like 10W/30 has the shear strength to provide the protection necessary. I'll continue to pay that little extra for Maxima MTL 80 :wink:

I'd be VERY surprised to find out that Kawasaki was racing those in the desert with 10W/30 or 40, for that matter, in them. Thoguh I caould very well be wrong - surprise surprise surprise not on a factory ride :lol:
