Dont know if i was the last one to find out about this. But service honda has the kx500af up on there page already with prices and all the options there offering for it. check it out http://www.servicehonda.com/kx500af.html
Wish you could buy a rolling chassis so you could just throw your motor in there. cant afford a $10,999 bike right now. did i mention i really really want one.

Nice bike would love to have one but 10,999 for a bike is crazy. If you buy one you better keep it forever or your going to take beating on re-sell.

You could always Hillclimb It!!!!!! See what Jeff Thomas @ Thomas Racing Service will do it for. He built Peterson's 980 KTM and put it on Nitro-methane and injected it. Next time I'm at his place I'll take some pics of his twin engine cr 500's (cr 1000) or some of his hybrid bikes. He's in south central Indiana and is building bikes full-time and many pro's are riding his bikes. He's set-up and ready to roll, fabricating and rebuilding race bikes is all that he does. He also races pro hill climbs east and west coast, so delivery may be as simple as going to a race in your area.

That's built by AJ, if you look about he posts on here from time to time.
Seems friendly enough and knows his stuff.
Don't forget that he has to make some money on the deal and puts a fair bit of work into the development.
I doubt the production run will be big either.

Expensive?  Yes, but look at the work.  If it's anything like the CR500AFs he makes, it's well worth it folks.  These guys ain't getting rich off building these bikes but just enough to make a decent living.  If I still rode, I would be seriously looking into one of these for sure.  :|

Nice! What a beautiful machine. Last time I was at their site that page wasn't up yet. It's too bad the evolution of the two stroke has to be done independently from the manufacturers.  I think I'll stick with my old KX and put the 10k towards a ZX14....or maybe the new Concours.
