rear shock?
MadKaw:
will a rear shock from 99 250 go on a 93 500?
MadKaw:
ok, no good huh?
how bout why would the gas be leaked out of the rear shock on a 93 500 whats leaking or needing to be replaced?
c-152:
I do not know if the shock assembly would bolt up, but I am currently running a 95 - 98
(not sure) rear spring. It was the same length and works fine

The shock will mount up, the valving will be different, might be better. I run a 2002 KX 250 on my 2000 K5. As far as the gas leaking, it could be the shaft seal has failed, or could be the gas leaked out over time. When was the last time the shock was serviced? I do mine at a minimum of annually and on the race bikes every 1-2 months.
MadKaw:
don't know when the last time the shock was serviced. lookin at buying one here in the next couple of weeks. its got a lot of new parts and a new top end done, but the rear shock is out of gas......he says he's checked on getting it done, and its gonna run about 100$ don't know, I haven't checked myself...but I have a shock and spring from a 2001 kx250 in the garage thats all good. just hopin I could put that one in there, or does anyone know how much to get one rebuilt. any help is good...thanx!
