Purchasing reed spacer in Canada

<< < (2/2)

Billygoat,
I used 1/2" and it just clears. Any thicker would not work. Keep in mind, don't just trace a gasket or the inside will be too large. When you take off the reed valve you will see what I mean. Happy building. cam.

I managed to get some 10mm alum. stock so I'm in the process of fabbing one up. Should be able to finish it up tomorrow.

Is it ok to use 1/2" aluminum??
Other posts say it might hit frame.

The Moose spacer measures 3/8" thick. I would NOT make a spacer any thicker because when you add the spacer, you move the airbox closer to the shock spring. With the 3/8" spacer, the airbox boot is VERY close to hitting the spring, a 1/2" spacer will surely cause the airbox rubber to interfere with the shock spring, and possibly rub a hole in the rubber.... then you have a BIG problem (sucking dirt) !
