Whats up everyone
« on: September 20, 2006, 01:56:09 PM »
How is everyone doin?  I am stuck in El Paso TX thanks to the good old military.  I ride a 2004 KX 500.  We have alot of open desert down here so the 500 gets the job done.  I am waiting for the 07 450 to come out so I can have something lighter for track riding.  I just wish I was back in MI where there is dirt instead of this sand.

You should hook up with Alan, he runs West Side Fitness there in El Paso.

Thanks for the warm welcome to the site.  Everyone here has been alot of help.  I did purchase my 500 new.  Its a shame they quit selling them.  I will be sure to hit up the trails with Alan down here.  Oh yeah, anyone who wants this sand can have it....along with all the thorns that keep giving me flats.

You just need to goop up your tires and it will take care of the flats!  :-D :-D

I have tried all sorts of different slimes......I still get flats.   I might try that foam insert for the tires.

Welcome to KX Riders! You ought to think about your tire you are using. The knob pattern and thickness of the rubber will have alot to do with the flats.
