Skid Plate For an 86?

I have an 86 500 and was looking for a skid plate, but they seem to start at 1988. Does anyone know who makes one or will the one for an 88 work? The last thing I want is to destroy my cases on a rock or something

as you can see by the photo below, I have one on my '87. It's been there a long time, and I am not sure who makes it. Perhaps you can print the picture and use it to try and find out where you can get one.
