Antirust coating for inside frame?

During the tear down of my '02 500, I'm noticing light rust inside the frame.

I was thinking perhaps filling the frame with an rust removal solution, and then using an anti-rust paint like POR 15 to coat the interior.

Wondering if other restorers have done anything like this as well?
