Greetings from new KX500 owner

Hello from Northern Calif.
I recently acquired my 'some day' bike: 2002 KX500. It's well used, but in decent condition. When the weather turns less riding friendly, my plan for it is a frame up restoration to as close to oem as practical (cosmetically at least).  Been out of the saddle for a while, but used to be addicted to serious trail riding and hill climbing. *Really* anxious to get back into it.

I know this will be a journey, and I'll need plenty of help and guidance along the way. It looks like the folks here are pretty generous with their experience and knowledge, so this appears to be the right KX family to join.   :-)

Thanks! I'm in the greater SF Bay Area (with Carnegie being my former and future stomping grounds.) Are you in CA?

I'll post a pic as soon as I get it cleaned up a bit.
