Rear fender issue

Ordered  a rear fender (UFO) for what was said to fit 88 to 02 kx500. My subframe is 6& 1/4" inside to inside. Fender that was sent is 7" FROM BOLT HOLE TO BOLT HOLE. Can somebody be as kind as to measure their subframe for me?
