Zipty tank repairs

My tank has been leaking around the fill hole since I got it and has been gradually getting worse I had debated sending it to Alward to see if he could repair it or try JB weld
but looking on IMS web sit they list a neck for converting a drybreak system to a standard cap so I ordered one and am going to cut the threads off mine and attempt to bolt this new neck on . Has anyone tried this? or any ideas on how to seal the bolts?

IMS will make you a new tank.....just have to ask them :wink:
