What's up guys? I'm a pipe welder from cali, working in Iowa with 2 days off a month. I rode my buddies new Yamaha 110 a few weeks ago that he bought for his son, along with a few quads. I got bit by the dirtbike bug and after searching craigslist I found a stock '93 KDK 250 in good condition for $800. It started right up after pulling it out of my trailer so I pulled a few plastics to prep for black plastic dip & pressure washed it clean. I let the it dry out for a day then kicked it unsuccessfully until I got annoyed and rolled it back in my garage. I immediately went to test out a '01 KX 125 with mods and brought it home for $1,400. The next day I blow dried the spark plug boot, killswitch, all electronic connections on the 250 and it started right up! I haven't had a chance to let them loose, aside from jammin around the block a few times but I already love them both. I like that the kdx can have scary balls, the front tire wants leave the ground, & it has the all the mean Grunt to go up hills for trail riding. I like the KX quick throttle response, after market mods, and newer/stiffer overall feel. I've got lots of riding and carb tweaking to do, eventually leading to top & bottom rebuilds, but I'm excited to feel the rush and be a part of the smokey brotherhood. Any help or info on future questions or comments is greatly appreciated.
