I will soon be in need of replacing the clutch cover on the '89 KX500 engine I just picked up also.  Looks like he went down and put a hole in it, then welded in back up (or JB weld I don't know)

So did anybody find out if the 89 250 engine inner cover will bolt on?

Different part # on gaskets.

plus i think the basket is bigger in diameter.
