88 250 color scheme
« on: January 24, 2016, 03:07:02 AM »
Hi Everyone, I had posted in the 500 section in reply to another thread but I don't want to hi-jack the other guy thread so I"ll start one of my own. Ive got a 1988kx250 and I am completely rebuilding/restoring it. But I want to change the color scheme just to match it a little more with what we saw in that era. That model Kx was an awesome looking machine but the bike wasn't very colorful... green with a little blue & white. I'm looking for some feedback & ideas, & hopefully you'll get a general idea where I'm trying to go with it by the edited photos. I'm sure the photos are not what the finished bike will look like.
The bike just before disassembly

Also i think there is too much black in my honest opinion but its tour bike.
I like bright colours and as much none stock parts as possible but again thats just me.
I think it would look nice were the seat is black do that blue , also do the front and rear fender blue also with blue hoses.
So its a green , purple and blue theme.
Just wait until i start my thread its gonna be crazy colours.
Or you could get the plastics hdydro dipped in a blue carbon effect as i dont know if you can get blue plastics and painting them is horrible
