86 or 87 cases will fit an 88 motor?
umberto:
It would be nice if some of these places would update their websites to reflect the cases no longer being available. I think Rocky Mountain has done that on the 88 at least. Somebody out there need to 3d scan these dudes and start producing some new ones. Either that or sand cast some new ones.
Foxx4Beaver:
just my opinion...but I think your best bet is to check e-bay relentlessly day by day...and hope someone lists some as NOS.
I've seen some really odd ball hard to find OEM stuff on e-bay, come out of mostly Sweden and the Netherlands.
umberto:
That's good advice. I've seen some 88 ones on eBay, but they are overpriced and look a little suspect. I'm not in a hurry, I just want a set to stock away in case Goliath pukes a rod or something. If you see a set of 88 and up, please let me know. I'll trade beer for information. :-D

I don't post often but have been reading for years. I've read some of the amazing things sandblaster has done with bad cases. Can we have cases repaired if broken and reconditioned completely by one company? I saw where sandblaster had cases plated due to bearing spinning could they be nikasil then bored or something similar?

I had Larry do the decompression mod for me a few years ago and did an amazing job. If I remember correctly his son is still willing to do them and a few other things. Larry what do you think about a full reconditioning service of cases?
