Picked up this about a month ago as a restomod project, never owned a 500, always wanted one!

Have all new plastic, custom graphics being made, and a ton of other new stuff just waiting to get put on!!

Looking great!
Some inspiration for me when I rebuild my 1988.
If I might ask, what technique did you use to shine up the motor like that?

sandblaster:
Just curious what all you did to the engine?

tls90lx:
Thanks! As far as cleaning the motor we pressure washed it real good to get all the crap off it, then used a dremel bit and a drill with a soft wire brush and went over the entire thing. After that just hit the side case with a polishing wheel...real happy how it came out!

I bought the bike done and running, the previous owner said the rebuild had less than 10 hrs on it, as far as the motor we just cleaned it up and leaving it as is internally. Carb is being taken apart, rebuilt and cleaned up real good with all new vents and hoses. Put new reed boot and reeds in it. Powder coating the swingarm black, triple clamps black, with all new hardware, suspension is being all redone for me with racetech valving, put MX32 Dunlops on...lots of parts waiting to go on!!!  basically everything will be new or gone through as it goes back together.

you'll love the Geo-32 if you have a lot of soft loamy/sandy areas where you ride....it's all I run now!
