Sparkplug cap

Dutch-K5 Fan:
Mine AF has a 5k ohm cap.
Is this normal?

As far as I can tell it is.
Mine also had 5k in the cap, I actually cut it apart and verified the value when the cap went bad.
When you add the 5k in a resistor plug it adds up to 10k in series to ground.

I have tried resistor and non-resistor plugs, I can't tell the difference...
