New to the dirt bike world in CA

Hello, I just got ahold of a 93 kx250 about a month ago.
I don't know a whole lot about the dirt bike world let alone a smoker, but I'm definitely looking forward to learning
I've ridden street bikes for a good 15 years, now I feel like I want to spend some time on dirt.

I'll put some pictures up tomorrow, be warned it's no beauty queen! 
Only mods I know the bike has are dyno port header and fmf silencer. Previous  owner claims weisco rebuild about 12 hours ago.  Bike runs strong, starts up 1st kick almost every time, and has loads of top end power.
Would love to find out if any parts off the never kx bikes can be crossed over.

I myself could really care less what they look like as ong as they perform well!! Lots of information on here just use search. If ya can't find it just ask and be patient you will most likely get your answer. Lots of very knowledgeable people on here. Where abouts in California are ya?
