subframe protection - chain rub

I just use a piece of rubber (pre-heater) hose sliced open, then wrapped around the sub-frame member, and held in place with zip-ties.  Its cheap, durable, and nice and soft.

I'm gonna have to try that rubber hose solution. Looks inexpensive and easy, just the way I like it :lol:

I used a piece of heavy guage sheetmetal which I had bent in an "L" shape and then riveted it to my subframe where the chain rubbed. It has worked great with very little wear as the heavy sheet metal is a much harder material than the subframe.
