Water pump

Going to weld up my clutch cover where the water pump is as its been eaten away( see this post... http://www.pitbull-racing.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&t=1522 )
Has anyone got a picture of what is should look like inside as quite a bit of material crumbled away when I cleand it out?
