clutch plates and spring kit for kx 500?
alexander-vmann:
thinking of buying myself a barnett clutch plates and spring kit from bto as i noticed my clutch is slipping and engine is reving without t speed increaseing, so does anyone have excperience with barnett? or have another brand to recomend?
Foxx4Beaver:
Barnett, Tusk, DP, to name a few...and most all the top-name aftermarket brands are good.
I myself only run oem...only because Hinson doesn't/won't make a COMPLETE clutch pack for the 500.

but is the stock aluminium plates good enough?
alexander-vmann:
and are theese carbon fiber kits any good? sounds cool but seems a bit shady? and ebc seems to be the only available maker
Foxx4Beaver:
depends on how often you want to change the oil....I have yet to burn out a stock clutch, in nearly 40 years.
I've never found an aftermarket clutch that I like over the precise feel the stock alloys give at the lever, besides the complete Hinson pack.
I dump my oil after every 4-5 hours of riding...and even sooner if I do only trails, as I'm using the clutch more.
