Dyno Tested today

(1/3) > >>

BrianSM:
wiesco piston (stock bore)
Procircuit pipe and can
re jetted
55 degrees
600 feet above sea level
brand new rear slick

14/44 gearing and top power was at 63 MPH

60RWHP

does that seem right I was thinkin about 65

The tester didn't really wind the bike out and I think the rear tire wasn't hookin up.......my buddy has a done CRF450 and pulled 56, he said he usually gets 58 but the jetting was off a bit....

does all this sound right ???

Arigato:
If the cylinder, head, and carb are all stock; that is about right.

John:
BrianSM,

Did you get a graph?

If so, could you scan it in a post it here?

doordie:
BrianSM,

Show a graph!

It depends of many things as:

1)Wheel size.(SM-tyre 17" *160 runs heavy,better street-tyre 19" *110)
2)chain/sprockets.(many % lost with bad chain and sprockets)
3)A/F-ratio.(You need a O2-meter to get right)
4)Warm engine.(Warm oil and "cleaned" carb...)
5)Fuel.(old or wrong oktan)
6)........and more!!!

A KX500 stock and "blueprinted": approx..55rwhp(65hp at crank)

60 rwhp and rideable, not fantastic but sure okey!

BrianSM:
I will try to scan the graph....its been awhile since I have scanned anything  Stock head and carb.....just re rung the piston...fresh fuel
premo pump /110 racetech fuel.....carb seems clean?, engine was warm prior to testing.......Now I'm gonna look for a O2 sensor, thanks for the suggestion.......................Aaaaah hell with it.... might as well send the whole thing to Pro Circuit and go for the 540 kit with some sexy porting.......
