newer silencer on a 1986 kx500?

I am able to order a new DG pipe for my bike. My question is can I fit a newer model FMF silencer on with the OEM pipe? I could have swore I came across a site that had FMF pipes listed for the 86 KX500 but I am not finding it.

every mis-matched combo I've ever run worked ok.
even if you have to modify a mount or hanger, you should still be able to get it to work fine.

FMF Turbine core 2 Universal silencer kit should work. I have like 2 or 3 of them lying around
