I like the sound of the ?Time-Sert? and I will use Cam?s directions.

Most motorcycle service shops have them on hand. I had my local Honda shop do it while I was on the way to ride. It took them less than 30 minutes.

The guy before me hosed up the threads so he tapped in a 7/16" machine thread which finally screwed up...... :roll:  Time serts as described are great !!! but try to find one ..... aircraft industry is where they come from....... as per the other post laying the bike down etc and using the heli coil.... thats exactly what I did.....I did that so I could re use the original style plug.......I put one wrap of teflon tape around the threads
and change my oil after every race style works perfect... no leaks...

That's my industry, and I looked @ McMaster Carr, Rutland, and MSS.
And no one had the time-sert.  ????
