Brake for a 2001 KX 500

(1/1)

Rock_93:
Does anyone have any recomodations or tricks for improving the brakes(mostly front) on a 2001 KX 500? I have bled the brakes lots put on a new Tusk rotor. but the breaks are weak. Does anyone sell a replacement stainless front brake hose?
Maybe I'm just used to KTM brakes but I think there is a lot of room for improvement.

Thanks

This is assuming your rebuild jobs are good and the master cylinders and calipers are working correctly.
Did you install new pads?
If not your old pads could be glazed in which case no matter what you do your brakes will stink.
These will make a big difference.

Hoses can give you a much more positive feel.

The newer Honda front master cylinders can give a harder pull.
CRF250R or CRF450R front brake master cylinder.

The pads are good but I will try new ones anyway. Thanks for the links.

sandblaster:
Try the ones I recommended as they grip harder then the stock ones.
