pro circuit platinum 2
« on: August 03, 2013, 10:11:47 PM »
Looking for a low to mid pipe for a 98 kx250.   I see pro circuit has a platinum 2 pipe available for the 05-07 kx250.   Just wondering if anyone has rode it to see if its comparable to the fmf gnarly?  I am prepared to modify if I need to. This actually isnt gping on a kx250 its for my kxf tecate 4, I currently run a 92 jug, read the 98 was a tractor of a top end

for what it's worth,I'm running a PC on my 2000 KX250,and I've always used PC on my 250s for years for their awesome mid to top performance...but after riding a 500 as my primary bike for a couple years, I wish I had gone with the FMF Gnarly instead for the low to mid(not that it'll ever have the low end a 500 has).
As much as I like PC in general...it's a mid to top pipe, and just doesn't have the low end snap I was looking for.
Hope this helps.

I'm on the pro circuit web site right now and I don't see an option to buy them for Kawasaki...It does state that the platinum 2 increases the low and midrange part of the powerband similar to the fmf gnarly.

As good as the PC is....it's low end is quite weak compared to the beat up FMF Fatty my 250 came with.If you want low end....go with the FMF....if want a high speed screamer...PC is the choice.

You can get the platinum 2 on eBay.   Fox4beaver are you talking about the original platinum or works? Cause im talking about specifically the platinum 2.  I understand the platinum is a mid to top

Before you buy this pipe on E-Pay....you might want to call Pro Circuit and verify they made a PC2 for Kawasaki.
I could be wrong...but Pro Circuit does not even list a PC2 for any Kawasaki on their site...check it out...
http://www.procircuit.com/

It just seems kinda strange that someone has one listed on E-Pay...but the manufacturer(Pro Circuit) does not list anything of the kind for Kawasaki.
Worth looking into.

Yes, PC makes a 2 pipe for the KX500.
I ordered one for my SM project and it is on the bike and burning rubber
The four stroke engine: That's one stroke for producing power and three for wearing the engine out.

that's good to know....I'll call PC tomorrow and ask them why they're neglecting to advertise the PC2 for Kawie...and tell them I chose FMF because they didn't list a low-end pipe for my bike(the K5)

I had the same thoughts when I went to buy my pipe.
I checked out their site and didn't see it.
I had it confirmed by members of this site that it really existed before I bought mine on PayBay.

Yeah I just called PC myself....and asked them if it was true that they sold PC2 pipes for Kawies..and the guy says.."yes we do"...so I said,"really..then why don't you guys list them on your website"....he says..."I wasn't aware of it until this morning because another person called asking about the same pipe"...so then I told him...
"you're  losing money if that's the case...cause I just bought a FMF setup because you guys didn't have a low-end pipe listed for the KX500....or for any Kawies...and obviously other people are wondering the same thing if you had another call this morning about the same pipes"
He apologized...and then offered me the PC2 at 10% off...which was cool of him....but I told him I couldn't drop another $275+ on another complete exhaust at this time....I said thanks for your time and your offer and politely said good bye.
