Yup, that air can sometime be a bugger.  It's even worse after you have changed the shim stack on the shock.  But since you have to grind teh top of the shaft down a little to get the nut off, shock revalving is not something that most folks are going to want to mess with.  I used to, but now just let Acme take care of the revalving efforts.

Not sure I mentioned that after you blead the air out of the valve with the up and down motion, I try and get all those little bubbles off the top of the oil, and I usually overfill the body just before I push the seal in place to get the bubble out of the way and onto the floor.  Did I mention your going to make a mess?
