2000 kx500 on the road

 I just got my 2000 KX500 registered in CT, I did notice it was shifting thru the gears very quickly, I went with a 15/47 gearing but I think I will need to go with a 15/45 or even 15/42. I was wondering if anyone has gone thru this and can give me a few pointers, thanks in advance.
