Hi all, I dont have a KX 500 yet but I was wondering if this sounds like a good deal to you guys. I've rode many different bikes most of my life just not the big bores till now. The bike seems to run great with plenty of power, the only thing I see is the power is very abrupt. I would like to know if this is a bike a person can get use? Well here's the deal a guy I know is selling a 95 or 96 (not sure on the year) kx 500 for $1250.00 which he said he has the paperwork to prove a semi-pro racer that lives in Victorville, Ca use to own it . It has been recently rebuild (about 5 hours, I know because I helped him rebuild it and yes the cylinder was sent in for electrofucsion plating) and has all the bells and whistles, for example fmf gnarly pipe, FmF silencer, gripper seat, barkbusters, pro circuit suspention, Uni air filter, Boyesen reed valves, Excel rims, Pro taper bars, Ims desert tank, and Ims pegs I know theres more but I forgot the rest. Just curious if this would be a good bike for the price, I mainly do desert riding but also do lots of small trails in the mountains. Any advice would be appriciated. Thanks!
