early kx 500 electrics v.s late model.

Just wondering if any of the later electronics form 1989 and up would work for a 1986 engine.
cdi? harness? flywheel, stator?

if you used the complete electronics it would work fine, later cdi is different, flywheel is larger, coil would probably work.
