crankcase breather problem
twosmokerider116:
When the engine is started mucus looking fluid pours out of crankcase breather. Anyone know why? What kind of oil should be in crankcase? Thanks! Heres a pic:

your picture link is'nt working.....you don't have water in your bottom end,do you?...you should be able to look in the site glass on your clutch cover and tell.Does it look white or grey?.Is there too much oil in it?.If so,you more than likely have a bad water pump seal.We need to be able to see the picture to help you.

Try this:

right on Sandblaster!....it "looks" like grey oil that's sitting on top of the carb vent line, which would mean water.See if you can snap a couple more pics that better show it.
As for what kind of oil you can use...it's personal preferrence.I use Bel Ray 85w Gear Saver, have for years....do I need to?,probably not....but I like it.

Sorry about the picture guys .. I'm still new to the site. But actually no thats just greese/mud. I have the top end at the local shop to replace the head gasket and piston rings. Maybe thats why? Just bought the bike and the previous owner most likely used water instead of coolant.
Oh, and how do I post an image just attach it? When I do it says " an error has occured and the directory is not writable"
